On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, from January 27 to February 1 (ie from December 28, Giap Thin year to January 4), the Management Board of Lam Kinh Historical Site (Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa) will offer free tickets for people and tourists to visit and offer incense.
Lam Kinh special national relic is an attractive cultural, historical and spiritual destination for tourists during the Lunar New Year every year.
To serve the people and tourists during the Lunar New Year this year, the Lam Kinh Relic Management Board has prepared well the conditions of facilities, human resources, ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation...; at the same time, maintaining the organization of display and exhibition activities, to promote and introduce the cultural and historical values of the relic.
The leader of the Lam Kinh Historical Relic Management Board said that the number of visitors coming to visit for free during the Lunar New Year always reaches more than 10,000 visitors. Especially in 3 days, from the 1st to the 3rd of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, 2024, the number of visitors to the relic reached over 13,000 to offer incense and visit the landscape.
Lam Kinh National Historical Site is where hero Le Loi raised the flag of uprising against the invading Ming army. After the victory, in 1428, Le Loi took the reign name Le Thai To and named the country Dai Viet.
The national treasure Vinh Lang stele in Lam Kinh historical relic site is evaluated by researchers as one of the oldest, largest and most beautiful early Le dynasty steles in Vietnam today.
The king established his capital in Thang Long (Hanoi) and built a capital city called Lam Kinh in his hometown of Lam Son. This place is also called Tay Kinh (to distinguish it from Dong Kinh - Hanoi) and has many large-scale temples and mausoleums to worship ancestors and is the resting place of the kings.
In 1962, this place was recognized as a National Historical Relic. In 2012, Lam Kinh relic continued to be recognized as a Special National Relic. Thereby, affirming the important values of the relic not only in terms of history and landscape but also in terms of contemporary architecture and art. That is the clearest and most concrete expression of the cultural tradition and civilization of Dai Viet in the 15th century.
In recent years, with the attention and investment of the State and the province, many works and items in the relic site have been restored on the ancient architectural foundation, with a grand scale. This place has become an attractive cultural, historical and spiritual destination, contributing positively to the tourism development of Thanh Hoa province.
