According to Engadget , during the company's press conference this week, Mr. Zuckerberg detailed some of Meta's plans in more detail, informing employees about some of the ways Meta plans to bring creative AI "into every product the company has."
Meta wants to become a giant in the field of AI
Planned features include “generalized” AI for WhatsApp and Messenger, something Zuckerberg has discussed in the past. Now, there are reports that WhatsApp and Messenger could be the first products to get the feature .
The AI feature will reportedly allow users to edit their photos via text prompts and then share the photos back to their Stories. Zuckerberg also recently discussed AI during the company's earnings call in regards to post creation tools for Facebook as well as for the platform's advertisers.
It’s not yet clear when some of these features might launch, but it sounds like Zuckerberg is hoping to see them sooner rather than later. The company is also hoping employees will come up with some ideas for new AI features of their own, and is holding an internal contest to inspire potential new ideas.
