According to Business Day, the "Red Devils" have almost completed 95% of the deal, ready to spend 62 million pounds to activate Osimhen's contract release clause with Napoli.
Napoli are reportedly set to sell Osimhen permanently in the summer, with his contract running until 2026. The Nigerian striker has no future at Napoli after falling out with the coaching staff, and is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
Despite having to get used to the new environment, Osimhen still showed impressive form, scoring 20 goals and having 5 assists in 26 appearances for Galatasaray.
If the deal goes through, it would be a quality addition to Man Utd's attack, which has been disappointing this season. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have yet to live up to expectations, with Man Utd struggling in 15th place in the Premier League table.
In the immediate future, Man Utd will look forward to welcoming Ipswich Town in round 27 of the Premier League.
