Man Utd have finalised personal terms with Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund and are preparing to make an offer to Atalanta.
After buying goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter, Man Utd promoted the plan to recruit Hojlund, the player who scored 10 goals in 34 matches for Atalanta last season. According to Goal , the process of negotiating personal terms took place quickly because Hojlund was a fan of the "Red Devils" since childhood.
The challenge for Man Utd is to convince Atalanta to release him at a reasonable price. The Italian club wants 78 million USD in cash for the 20-year-old striker. Man Utd will find it difficult to pay this fee because of concerns about Financial Fair Play. Therefore, the Old Trafford team wants to attach a player. It could be one of two midfielders Fred or Donny van de Beek.

If Atalanta does not agree to this plan, Man Utd will likely have to sell more players to have more budget. This could cause delays in the deal. Man Utd do not want this because PSG is also eyeing Hojlund.
Erik ten Hag wants Man Utd to add a proper striker, as Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have failed to meet his requirements. However, finding a top-class striker is not easy at the moment. Man Utd are also keeping an eye on Harry Kane, but Tottenham do not want the England international to join their Premier League rivals. Victor Osimhen is being priced out of Napoli.
Hojlund is an affordable option for Man Utd at the moment. The 1.91m tall striker is in potential form, and is believed to be able to adapt to coach Ten Hag's tactics.
If they can resolve the striker position soon, Man Utd hope to recruit another central midfielder. Fiorentina player Sofyan Amrabat or Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka are potential targets.
