REASON
Common injuries: tendinitis; in the elbow, shoulder and wrist, tendinitis of the lateral epicondylitis of the humerus is common; sprains in the ankle and wrist; muscle strains, especially in the lumbar spine, the hamstrings and calves are common areas of strain.
The knee and hip joints are also susceptible to injury during pickleball due to sudden movements. Additionally, fractures, although rare, can occur from falls.
The cause of injury is due to improper warm-up, when the body is not ready for high-intensity activity. Improper technique is also a cause of injury, but not many players pay attention to it. In fact, incorrect movements during the game of pickleball can put pressure on joints and muscles.
Improper equipment can also cause injuries. Examples include improper footwear or uneven playing surfaces. Overplaying and not resting enough between games can also cause injuries.
Pickleball was born in 1965 in the US and is now a very popular sport in Vietnam.
