The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen Transmission Line Project passes through Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc provinces (including Yen Bai province) through Luc Yen and Yen Binh districts with a total length of 90 km, 173 column foundations. The section through Luc Yen district has 82 column foundation locations, a length of about 39.55 km, the permanent land acquisition area at the column foundations is about 10.97 ha and there are 25 resettled households.
This is an important project in the national power transmission system, playing a key role in enhancing the capacity to transmit electricity from hydropower plants in the Northwest region (especially from Lao Cai) to the load center in the Northern Delta region; ensuring energy security; contributing to stabilizing the national power grid, increasing the reliability and safety of power supply, especially in the context of increasing demand for electricity.
With high political determination, the Party Committees and authorities of Luc Yen district held a meeting with the people to implement the project; at the same time, they promoted propaganda and mobilization to create consensus among the people. Up to now, Luc Yen district has completed the counting and marking of 83 column foundations, cadastral measurements and handed over cadastral maps. Regarding the clearance of the safety corridor, they are coordinating with the Investor to carry out the measurement, statistics and counting of the affected area.
In order to promptly hand over the site to the investor for project implementation, Luc Yen district will continue to coordinate with the Power Project Management Board 1, the investor, provincial departments and branches and localities in compensation, site clearance, and resettlement arrangements for households whose land has been recovered. Focus on directing localities, mobilizing maximum human resources, propagating and mobilizing to create consensus among people in compensation, site clearance, land recovery, resettlement, and promptly hand over the site to implement the project to ensure the set progress, thereby contributing to the development of the homeland and the country.
