The capital's education sector estimates that this increase in students corresponds to 30-40 schools. However, building new schools is facing many difficulties.

For public schools, the enrollment schedule for the first grade (5-year-olds, grades 1 and 6) usually begins on July 1. The city still applies the principle of enrollment by region, meaning that students from which ward or commune will be assigned to schools in that area.
