Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced that the fee for specialized competency assessment exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is 250,000 VND/subject; Literature is 400,000 VND/subject, and English is 700,000 VND/subject.

Candidates can choose one or more subjects to register for majors that use the results for admission.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will organize 3 specialized competency assessment exams with an expected scale of more than 12,000 candidates (for rounds 1 and 2) and more than 7,000 candidates (for round 3) in Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Can Tho, Hue, Da Nang, Long An, and Dak Lak.

The knowledge content used to assess candidates' abilities mentioned in the exams will closely follow the 2018 general education program, in which the knowledge content in the grade 12 program accounts for about 70-80%, the rest is grades 10 and 11.

The English proficiency test still maintains the approach of the level 3-5 format according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam.

The remaining subjects have many improvements in structure with question formats applied to the exams including multiple choice and open/closed essay questions; test time is 90 minutes.

The exams to assess Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology abilities will have 40 questions and will be divided into 3 parts: part 1: single questions, part 2: comprehensive questions, part 3: fill-in-the-blank questions.

The Literature Proficiency Test includes a reading comprehension and a writing section.
