Accordingly, the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that it has submitted a document to the City People's Council for consideration and approval of the investment policy for the Hoa Thuan Dong Primary and Secondary School Project and the expansion of alley 149 Le Dinh Ly (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) on a 7,404m2 land plot at 271 Nguyen Tri Phuong after the Ministry of National Defense agreed to transfer.
The transfer of land for school construction is extremely meaningful in the context of a shortage of educational land and the increasing size of schools.
After the Da Nang City People's Council agreed in principle, Da Nang will build a new Hoa Thuan Dong Primary - Secondary School on a total area of 5,206 m2 , including items such as classrooms, principal offices, subject classrooms with a scale of 4 floors with 4 blocks of works and swimming pool works, auxiliary buildings. The policy of expanding alley 149 Le Dinh Ly will use a total area of 3,295 m2 , including a part of the area of land lot 271 Nguyen Tri Phuong. The total investment of these 2 projects is expected to be 134.5 billion VND from the city budget, implemented from 2023 - 2026.
Previously, in September 2022, the Ministry of National Defense agreed in principle to transfer the "golden land" area at 271 Nguyen Tri Phuong to the locality for management and use. Of which, an area of over 5,300m2 will be used to build a school (not for other purposes), and an area of over 2,000m2 will be used to open roads.
