By chance, through an acquaintance, I was introduced to the book “A Quiet Journey”. This is the latest book about veteran, businessman, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Phan Van Quy - Chairman of the Pacific Group.
The book was written by Colonel, Journalist Nguyen Duy Tuong - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Veterans Newspaper, published and widely distributed by the People's Army Publishing House.
Colonel, Journalist Nguyen Duy Tuong is the author of dozens of books of Memoirs of Politicians and Military Generals, leaving his mark on the literary world in the autobiographical genre. Now he portrays a soldier, a Heroic Truong Son driver during the war against the Americans, a successful businessman, a dedicated National Assembly delegate and a social activist - volunteer with heart, vision and many unique thoughts. We have also known Phan Van Quy through the books "The Road Ahead" authored by Colonel, Journalist Trong Phien, "The Pathfinder" and "Still a Soldier" edited by Colonel, Journalist Tran Hoang Tien.
The beauty and cleverness of Nguyen Duy Tuong in this book is the distillation and universality; not to mention the title of the book also speaks of the character of the Hero on the journey of social and charitable activities as a quiet traveler. If anyone has not read the above books, through "Quietly a journey" they can still understand Phan Van Quy with his many achievements in war as well as in peacetime. If they have read it, this new book is a supplement for us to know more about the way of thinking, the way of doing in the journey of social and charitable activities that is not noisy, but very effective of the Hero we once loved.
