2023 continues to be a year of many milestones in the work of protecting and promoting the value of cultural heritage such as: the bell of Roi Pagoda was recognized as a national treasure (raising the number of artifacts in Ha Tinh recognized as national treasures to 5, including: Sung Chi stele, 3 cannons and the bell of Roi Pagoda); consulting on the construction and submission of a dossier to UNESCO to honor Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great physician (1724-2024); 11 more historical and cultural relics were ranked at the provincial level, bringing the total number of ranked relics in the whole province to 634...

Ms. Simona-Mirela Miculescu, President of the 42nd UNESCO General Conference, rapped the gavel to approve a resolution with a list of 53 cultural celebrities (including Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac) and historical events that will be jointly honored and celebrated by UNESCO (November 2023).

The work of preserving and building grassroots cultural life and the movement "All people unite to build cultural life" associated with "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; library work; performing arts, family work..., all achieved many outstanding results. In domestic, regional and international sports arenas, Ha Tinh athletes won 216 medals of all kinds. Enhancing the cultural values ​​and people of Ha Tinh in the new period

In the overall results of 2023, the great efforts of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism were recognized when it completed the consultation work so that on December 22, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU on "Building and developing Ha Tinh culture and people in the new period".

The resolution sets the general goal of building and comprehensively developing Ha Tinh culture and people imbued with national spirit, rich in homeland identity, selectively absorbing advanced cultural values. Constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people, narrowing the gap in development level between regions and residential areas. Taking care to build a cultural environment in families, clans, residential areas, agencies, units, schools, and enterprises. Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; developing unique cultural and tourism products rich in identity; developing diverse types of literature and art. Focusing on investing resources for comprehensive cultural development, becoming an endogenous strength, a driving force for Ha Tinh to develop rapidly and sustainably, soon becoming a well-off province in the country.

To concretize that goal, the resolution sets out specific strategic targets by 2030 such as: All people enjoy and participate in cultural activities; over 95% of households are cultural; over 60% of people regularly practice sports; over 98% of villages, hamlets, and residential groups are recognized as cultural residential areas; 80% of agencies, units, and enterprises meet cultural standards (of which 100% of agencies and units meet cultural standards); 100% of district-level administrative units meet new rural standards; 100% of ward-level administrative units meet civilized urban standards; 100% of communes, wards, and towns have effective Vi and Giam folk singing clubs;

100% of industrial parks and economic zones have cultural and sports center facilities; 100% of special national relics, national relics, provincial relics are digitized and invested in restoration, embellishment, preservation and promotion of value; 100% of cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, national intangible cultural heritages have plans to protect and promote value...

Community cultural houses have become spaces for diverse activities of the people, contributing to the implementation of cultural criteria in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas in localities.

Among the 6 tasks set out in the resolution, the most notable task is: Building Ha Tinh people to develop comprehensively, possessing all the good qualities of Vietnamese people and the unique values ​​of Ha Tinh people such as: love for homeland and country; solidarity, loyalty, diligence, studiousness; dynamism, creativity; discipline, respect for honor, respect for the law; friendly behavior towards the natural environment; self-reliance, self-improvement, aspiration to rise up, meeting the requirements of integration and development...

Along with that is the task of building a healthy cultural environment, civilized lifestyle in families, clans, localities, communities, agencies, units, schools, businesses, culture in politics and economics, culture in public places... creating a healthy environment to form and comprehensively develop the personality of Ha Tinh people...

Regularly taking care of building, developing, improving the qualifications, capacity and quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the fields of culture, literature and art, meeting the requirements of the tasks. The issuance of Resolution 18-NQ/TU demonstrates the special attention of the provincial Party Committee, government, and functional agencies to continue implementing the contents of the Provincial Cultural Conference, the National Cultural Conference, and concretizing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on the cultural field.
