The incident occurred after students of Tan Tuc High School reported information about a video clip allegedly secretly filmed in the school's female restroom that was spread on social media.

In a report sent to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the Principal of Tan Tuc High School said that on the afternoon of October 23, a 12th grade QH student was beaten by a student because the student used a mobile phone to record images of a female student in the stairwell area. That same evening, on some closed groups of the social network Telegram, many sensitive images were spread, including videos of female students in the restroom.

On October 24, the school coordinated with Binh Chanh District Police and Tan Tuc Town Police to work with the student and parents mentioned above. During the meeting, QH confirmed that he used his phone to film a female student without her consent, and that it was not related to the images circulating on Telegram.

The school is continuing to coordinate with authorities to work with parents and students related to the above incident.
