On March 23, more than 11,000 candidates took the first round of the Hanoi National University's aptitude test (HSA) to get admission results to about 90 schools.
This is the first HSA exam this year, taking place at 8 test locations in Hanoi, Thai Binh and Nam Dinh. Compared to the first round last year, the number of candidates is nearly three times higher, mainly taking the exam in Hanoi.
This year, the exam is divided into 6 sessions with an expected number of seats of about 103,000, the highest ever. Currently, 90 schools use the HSA exam results for admission, of which, this year, 17 military schools use this exam score for the first time. The country currently has more than 10 exams to assess capacity and thinking. Of which, the exam of the two National Universities is the largest in scale. In 2023, the number of candidates admitted and enrolled based on the results of the ability and thinking assessment exam accounts for 2.57%.
