Teacher Vo Thi Tam at Ba Dinh Primary School, Bim Son town (Thanh Hoa) has just been disciplined with a warning for beating a student, causing bruises on her back.
On the morning of December 31, information from Ba Dinh Primary School said that the People's Committee of Bim Son town had just decided to issue a disciplinary warning to teacher Vo Thi Tam for hitting a student while in class.
In addition to being disciplined with a warning, Ms. Vo Thi Tam was transferred to work as a clerk at the school and was not assigned to teach in class.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on the morning of October 11, Ba Dinh Primary School received parent T.D.H. (residing in Quarter 4, Ba Dinh Ward, Bim Son Town - father of TPN, a student in class 1B) to provide information about the incident in which Ms. Vo Thi Tam - the homeroom teacher of class 1B at the school - beat TPN, leaving scratches and bruises on the student's back.
Working with the school board, Ms. Tam said that N. brought toys to school to play during math class. The teacher could not control herself so she twisted N.'s ear and patted his back and head.
On the evening of October 11, the principal and Ms. Tam went to the students' and parents' houses to apologize.
On October 12, the school temporarily stopped teaching with Ms. Tam, replaced her with a new homeroom teacher and took charge of the boarding class 1B.
On October 14, the school allowed student N. to change classes according to the parents' wishes.
