On Monday, May 22, 2023, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the Law on Organization of the National Assembly, the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will solemnly open at the National Assembly House, Hanoi Capital.
Recently, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly delegations, the National Assembly deputies and relevant agencies, organizations and individuals have urgently prepared the content to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and decision at the 5th Session.
Before the opening of the session, at 7:15 a.m., leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
At 8:00 a.m., the National Assembly held a preparatory meeting. At the meeting, National Assembly deputies listened to the speech of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; and listened to the report of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Secretary General of the National Assembly, and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong on the reception, explanation, and revision of the draft agenda of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly. After that, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the agenda of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
At 9:00 a.m. the same day, the National Assembly held the Opening Session of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House. The opening session was broadcast live by Voice of Vietnam (VOV1), Vietnam Television (VTV1) and Vietnam National Assembly Television.
