Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh presented flowers to welcome the delegation of students from Uiwang City (Korea) to Da Nang.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh said that the cultural exchange program was implemented based on the Minutes of Working on cooperation in the field of education signed in November 2022 and the Cultural Exchange Program for Middle School Students signed in May 2023 between Hai Chau District People's Committee and Uiwang City Government, Gyeonggi Province, Korea.
“The purpose of organizing the program is to create conditions for Korean students to better understand the history, culture, and lifestyle of Vietnamese people; to meet, exchange, and build good friendships with students in Hai Chau district. From there, they will become ambassadors contributing to strengthening the cooperative and friendly relationship between Hai Chau district and Uiwang city in particular, Da Nang city and Korean localities in general,” emphasized the Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee.
Accordingly, the Cultural Exchange Program in Hai Chau District in 2025 will take place from February 18 to 24, 2025, with the participation of 10 students from different secondary schools in Uiwang City, Korea.
Within the framework of the program, Uiwang city students will participate in activities to learn Vietnamese, experience Vietnamese folk games at Nguyen Hue Secondary School; visit and learn at Ho Chi Minh Museum of Military Region V, Son Tra Peninsula, Linh Ung Pagoda, Non Nuoc stone carving village, Tuy Loan rice paper village, Ba Na tourist area... In addition, Uiwang city students will experience living with 10 families of students in Hai Chau district.

Previously, from October 29, 2024 to November 4, 2024, the Hai Chau District Secondary School Delegation participated in the Cultural Exchange Program in Uiwang City, Gyeonggi Province, Korea, having the opportunity to experience and learn about traditional Korean culture, visit museums and tourist attractions in Uiwang City, Korea; experience living with Korean families. All activities and experiences helped the students gain a lot of cultural and historical knowledge, make many new friends, thereby contributing to strengthening the relationship between Hai Chau District and Uiwang City.
Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh said that in 2025, Hai Chau District and Uiwang City will upgrade the relationship between the two localities through the signing of an Agreement to enhance comprehensive cooperation. Therefore, the 2025 cultural exchange program for middle school students is of great significance, creating a premise for both localities to carry out many cooperation activities in new fields.
