Under the typical sunshine of the Krong Pa fire pan, we were present at Gum Gop village, Ia Rmok commune to watch Meritorious Artist Ro O Bhung and Mr. Ksor Kruik, Ro Cham Kuh practice the Dinh Goong instrument to participate in the performance at the 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025.

Despite the hot weather, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Dinh Goong performance team practicing. They all exuded enthusiasm and pride in bringing their traditional culture to the provincial level.

Meritorious artist Ro O Bhung shared: I am very happy to be selected to perform at the 4th Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival. On this occasion, we participated in the Dinh goong performance with the content "The French colonialists invaded for the second time, Uncle Ho called for national resistance, determined not to lose the country, not to become slaves to the French colonialists". In order to have a good performance, we temporarily put aside our farming work to practice for nearly a month now.

Mr. Ksor Kruik, who has participated in many cultural festivals of the province and district with Meritorious Artisan Ro O Bhung, said: "Every time I participate in a performance of the Dinh goong instrument, I feel excited because I have promoted the unique culture of the Jrai people in Krong Pa district to friends inside and outside the province."

Ms. H'Vanh confided: "I have been weaving since I was 16 years old. Every day I practice to make my hands more flexible, to move the shuttle faster so that when I compete, my movements will be more proficient. Participating in this year's festival, I will try my best to complete my work well to bring achievements to the district's delegation."
