About 9 hours before the Tran Temple Seal Opening Ceremony 2025 (Nam Dinh), Ngoc Lo palanquin and more than 50 trays of offerings were moved to perform the Tran Temple Seal Opening Ceremony tonight, February 11 (January 14).
Recorded at 2:30 p.m. on February 11, at the historical and cultural relic site of Tran Temple - Thap Pagoda (Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province), although it was not yet time to open the seal, many people and tourists from all over the country were present here to offer incense and pray for fortune and peace.
According to observations, although this year the number of people going to Tran Temple before the opening ceremony has decreased compared to previous years, it is still very crowded.
Inside the shrines at Tran Temple, there are always people offering incense and performing rituals. People go to the temple to burn incense and pray for a peaceful new year for their families, for their children to study well, and for their wealth and honor.
Some people also read prayers at Tran Temple.
The Ngoc Lo palanquin was placed at Co Trach temple, ready for tonight's ceremony. Previously, on February 8 (January 11) in Nam Dinh, the Ngoc Lo palanquin procession took place, opening the Tran temple's seal opening ceremony this year.
The procession of Ngoc Lo palanquin is a long-standing ritual, recorded in historical documents and in the stele placed at Thap Pagoda. According to tradition, before carrying Ngoc Lo palanquin, the head of the Tran family goes to the Upper Hall of Pho Minh Pagoda - where the throne and the tablet of King - Buddha King Tran Nhan Tong are placed - to perform a ceremony to ask for the incense bowl to be brought to Ngoc Lo palanquin. When the procession from Pho Minh Pagoda returns to Thien Truong Temple yard, the celebrant takes 5 incense sticks from the incense bowl on Ngoc Lo palanquin and sticks them into the incense bowl at the tablet of King Tran Nhan Tong, then performs the rituals and leaves the palanquin at the temple, and on the afternoon of January 16, the palanquin is brought back to Pho Minh Pagoda.
According to cultural preservation researchers, the Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival has now fully restored all traditional rituals; typically three important rituals: Ngoc Lo palanquin procession, Water procession, Fish sacrifice and Seal Opening ceremony, worthy of being an intangible cultural heritage recognized at the national level by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At around 3pm on February 11, the people's "huge" offering tray was prepared to be presented at the opening ceremony on January 14 and early morning on January 15. In addition to flowers, fruits, cakes, wine, betel and areca nuts, the "huge" offering tray also included a pair of square glutinous rice cakes, round glutinous rice cakes and a pair of "Long giang cam ngoc"...
The offerings will be delivered to the ceremony area before noon.

At the same time, workers are actively installing fences for people to line up in front of the area to get the seal.
To ensure security, more than 2,500 officers and soldiers were mobilized to form 5 protective rings at Tran Temple area.
