On December 15, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union together with SABECO announced a series of community programs for the Lunar New Year 2024 and presented more than 10,400 Tet gifts to fishermen, border guards, and coastal soldiers in 25 provinces and cities across the country.
This year’s program has the theme: “Sharing Tet, prosperous Dragon Year”. This is part of the campaign “Welcoming Dragon Tet - Multiplying Fortune” launched by SABECO to honor the traditional culture of Vietnamese Tet, always focusing on family, relatives with the spirit of solidarity and reunion.
In the context of the global economic instability, affecting Vietnam's recovery process in 2023, this year's Saigon Beer community program is especially aimed at workers affected by the wave of job cuts, along with fishermen in coastal areas facing difficulties due to the impact of climate change, helping to reduce the burden of taking care of Tet for the people of local authorities.
In addition, the program also gave gifts of gratitude to the border and island forces who have worked day and night to protect the national sovereignty.
