This project is about 74.4 km long, from the 500 kV distribution yard of Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant to the 500 kV Thanh Hoa transformer station, passing through 3 provinces: Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa.
This is one of four component projects of the 500 kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) with a total length of about 515 km, passing through 9 provinces.
EVNNPT implements construction of 500 kV transmission line project Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa
Once completed, the project will help reduce the load and avoid overloading of existing 500 kV lines, ensuring the N-1 criteria, especially when the transmission capacity is high along the North-Central interface at a time when hydropower plants in the North have low generation.
The line also helps to increase the stable transmission reserve on the North - Central interface, combined with the 500 kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant - Pho Noi transmission lines, contributing to supplementing capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the Northern region.
In addition, the project will help transmit the capacity of Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant after the plant comes into operation and thermal power plants in the North Central region as well as renewable energy power plants in the Central region to the national power system, creating a connection between regional power grids.
In recent times, with the strong direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, many ministries, branches, agencies, and localities, and the regular attention of the leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the project has soon completed the necessary legal procedures to be able to implement construction.
EVNNPT strives to complete the project according to the target set by the Prime Minister.
Work all night, no days off
Assigned by the Prime Minister to be the project investor, EVNNPT has always identified and clearly recognized this as a key and urgent project, proactively working with relevant ministries, branches and localities to promptly complete legal procedures to implement the project. The Corporation has mobilized maximum resources, working regardless of hours, through the night, without days off... to speed up progress.
Previously, on June 19, the EVNNPT Party Committee issued Resolution No. 144-NQ/DU on accelerating the investment progress of the construction of the 500 kV line projects, circuit 3 in the northern region. Immediately after that, EVNNPT established a Project Steering Committee headed by the Chairman of the EVNNPT Board of Directors; the affiliated units established steering committees, executive committees and advance committees to synchronously deploy the projects.
On October 17, the General Director of EVNNPT issued Directive No. 4660/CT-EVNNPT on implementing solutions to ensure power supply in the last months of 2023 and 2024. It requires relevant units and departments to urgently and drastically implement synchronous solutions to accelerate the investment progress of the 500 kV line from Quang Trach to Pho Noi.
EVNNPT requires contractors participating in the project to urgently mobilize forces to speed up immediately after construction begins.
To ensure the project progress as directed by the Prime Minister, EVN and EVNNPT recommend that relevant ministries and branches continue to pay attention and provide maximum support to the investor throughout the project implementation process. EVN and EVNNPT recommend that provinces where the power lines pass through actively create favorable conditions and support the investor to promptly complete site clearance and compensation work to organize construction.
In addition, EVN and EVNNPT also requested construction contractors, design consultants, and supervision consultants to urgently mobilize forces to speed up immediately after project implementation; mobilize maximum resources, give the highest priority to the project to complete the project according to the target.
After implementing the 500 kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa power line project, EVN and EVNNPT said they will continue to coordinate with ministries and branches to complete legal procedures to implement the remaining 3 projects including: 500 kV Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi, Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa power line projects according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
Up to now, EVNNPT has proactively arranged and organized the parallel and simultaneous implementation of project works; fully allocated capital for project implementation, proactively coordinated closely with localities in site clearance, and focused human resources, machinery, and materials to immediately organize construction as soon as the site was received, especially foundation and column items, striving to complete the project on schedule and with quality, contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the North in the coming time.
The investor of the 500 kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa power line project is EVNNPT. The project management unit: Northern Power Project Management Board. Design consultant unit: Joint venture of Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 and Energy Institute. Supervision consultant unit: Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4. Construction unit (package 5): Joint venture of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company and Song Da 11 Joint Stock Company.
