Golden Sands Golf Resort - challenging yet friendly golf course
Golden Sands Golf Resort is an ideal destination for golfers who are always looking for new challenges, possessing a beautiful view of the sea accompanied by challenges never seen before at any golf course in Vietnam.
Through the talented design of the world's number 1 golf course designer Nicklaus Design, the Golden Sands Golf Resort has a length of up to 7,519 yards from the farthest tee and is known as "the most difficult golf challenge in Vietnam" when golfers will have to hit the ball at least 10 more strokes than any other golf course in this S-shaped strip of land.
To get the ball onto the green, golfers will need to overcome rolling fairways with different slopes and heights, causing the ball to roll continuously. Around the fairway are super large sand areas or deep sand traps in strategic locations, overcoming these obstacles, golfers continue to face the green protection area which is surrounded by high mounds.
And once on the green, golfers have to make very long putts because the super green has an area of up to 1,300 m2, 150% larger than most other golf courses. The green surface continuously curves to the left and right, making it much more difficult to "read" the green.
The above challenges are further increased when combined with a natural objective factor, which is strong winds and constant changes in wind direction, even changing direction right between rounds.
However, besides the highly challenging elements, Golden Sands Golf Resort is always considered a golf course that is very golfer-friendly when starting with "6 tee positions" suitable for all levels, from experts to young golfers.
The friendliness of the Golden Sands Golf Resort course also means that golfers do not have to worry about losing their ball and may only need one ball for the entire round as the fairways are very wide, there are no rough areas and dense bushes that can lead to the possibility of losing the ball, especially with only a few water hazards when in fact there is only one lake on Hole 14 during the dry season.
Even if the ball is lost, golfers can easily find it again with a clear view of the area under the trees. Therefore, golfers can fully concentrate on hitting the ball, even hitting more balls than any other golf course in Vietnam.
That is why Golden Sands Golf Resort is likened to a bear, the symbol of world golf legend Jack Nicklaus, growling but friendly to all golfers as well as lovers of this elite sport in Vietnam as well as around the world.
