As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), on the evening of September 20, at the Ba Kieu Temple stage (Hoan Kiem Lake walking space), the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival opened to promote the image, cultural values and tourism of Hanoi - the land of a thousand years of civilization with its own unique beauty.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Nguyen Anh Duong said that following the success of the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2023 program, which was honored to receive the 16th "Bui Xuan Phai - For the Love of Hanoi" award for the category "Jobs for the Love of Hanoi", the program "Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024" is an event with large-scale investment, a tourism product that affirms the brand, promotes the effective exploitation of the potential and strengths of each locality, creating momentum for the rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of the region.

Hanoi Autumn Festival takes place from September 19 to 22 with the participation and support of 12 provinces and cities nationwide, 17 districts, towns in the city; associations, clubs, tourism and travel businesses... with many rich and unique contents.

“With the experiences at the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024, people and tourists will have deep impressions of Hanoi - an attractive, safe and friendly tourist destination,” Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong shared.

According to the program of the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024, the main contents include: Opening ceremony of Hanoi Autumn Festival; organizing Farmtrip to survey some attractive tourist spots, tourist destinations in Hanoi; organizing a discussion with the theme "Autumn Hanoi tourist destination" at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. In addition, there is a program to honor the units participating in the event and the art program "Dream Paradise 5 - Autumn Hanoi in me". This is one of the largest tourism promotion and promotion events of the city, and is also a program responding to the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

In particular, in the series of activities of Hanoi city to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the Festival program to demonstrate the skills of artisans and skilled workers and the exhibition to introduce typical craft products of Hanoi was held at the Ly Thai To monument area and the Octagonal House area.

This is a meaningful activity to promote the image, cultural values and tourism of the capital to domestic localities and international friends; promote the potential strengths of Hanoi's traditional craft villages; raise awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural values and potential of traditional craft villages, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the capital.

Here, typical values of Hanoi craft villages are displayed such as: Giang Cao ceramics, Ha Thai lacquerware, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan weaving, Ngu Xa bronze casting, Chau Khe jewelry, Kieu Ky goldsmiths, Quoc Oai wood carving, Van Phuc silk, Ha Dong. Along with many interesting experiential activities as well as large-scale performances, the Organizing Committee hopes that the people of the capital and visitors attending the Program will have interesting and meaningful experiences with the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024.

At the ceremony, organizations, units and businesses donated more than 120 million VND to support people affected by storms and floods to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city.
