Grade 6 enrollment plan in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year

Implementing the plan in Official Dispatch No. 759/SGDĐT-QLT of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the Departments of Education and Training of districts/towns/cities have advised the People's Committees of districts/towns/cities to issue the Plan for admission to grade 6 for the 2025-2026 school year in the management area.

Specifically, each locality clearly stipulates the subjects, methods and enrollment targets, enrollment routes, required documents as well as registration time for secondary education level.

According to the plan, in the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi will continue to apply the admission method according to the route prescribed by the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to enroll 6th grade students in public schools.

In addition, the city still maintains two forms of enrollment registration, online and in person, for grade 6 to facilitate parents in registering their children for school.

Admission time for grade 6 in Hanoi for the 2025 - 2026 school year

According to Official Dispatch No. 759/SGDĐT-QLT in 2025, the enrollment time for grade 6 in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year is clearly stipulated by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training as follows:

Grade 6 Admissions (Online)	From 07/07/2025 to 09/07/2025.
Grade 6 Admission (Direct)	From July 12, 2025 to July 18, 2025.

Note:

- Private schools enroll students immediately after the end of the school year, specifically from May 31, 2025 to July 12, 2025; schools enroll students by combining admission with testing and capacity assessment: choose a reasonable time for testing and capacity assessment to ensure completion by June 30, 2025 at the latest.

- In case of online enrollment: The student's parent or guardian can check the enrollment records at the school of enrollment from the time of receiving the successful online enrollment registration notice until 17:00 on July 18, 2025.

- Schools must update the list of admitted students into the electronic gradebook system no later than July 23, 2025.
