The all-new fifth generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to be officially launched in about a week.
Specifically, according to sources from the Korean Car Blog, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe model will officially launch globally on August 10 on the YouTube platform.
This car model's interior and exterior design was introduced through a series of photos released on July 18 and information about the engine and price will be revealed at the upcoming global launch.
This is the first time since 2018 that the Hyundai Santa Fe has been completely redesigned, and it's quite a transformation, with a squared-off look that's distinctly Land Rover-esque.
With a longer wheelbase, the 2024 Santa Fe promises a more spacious interior, along with comfortable rear storage for long family trips.
The front of the car is designed to be square and high, similar to the typical style of Land Rovers, while the new identifying feature of Santa Fe in particular and Hyundai cars in general in the future will be the H-shaped daytime running lights. The lower grille is also H-shaped.
The rear of the new Santa Fe is also designed to be square like the front, creating an overall look that is extremely similar to the Land Rover. However, compared to the front of the car, the rear is somewhat simpler, with the highlight being the H-shaped light cluster.
Hyundai says the new Santa Fe has a longer wheelbase and a larger tailgate for increased cargo space.
Although specific specifications have not been released, Hyundai claims that when both the second and third rows of seats are folded down, the Santa Fe will have the largest trunk in its segment.
The car is expected to continue using the current engine lineup, including gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The hybrid versions have been upgraded to increase fuel efficiency, thanks to the use of higher capacity batteries. Each market region will have different engine versions.
