According to IDC's "Global Wearable Device Tracker Quarterly Report", Huawei is leading in total shipments in the global wearable device market with 23.6 million units (up 44.3% year-on-year), accounting for 16.9% market share.
The report also pointed out that Huawei has achieved steady growth in the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Middle East-Africa markets through promoting localization strategies and building a global brand image.
It is understood that Huawei's position is due to new products such as the Huawei Watch GT5 and GT5 Pro as well as the second generation of the Watch D2 blood pressure integrated watch that have enhanced the health monitoring experience.
Huawei Watch GT5 and GT5G stand out with impressive battery life of up to 14 days, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 concentration measurement and diverse sports training modes, meeting the needs of users who love outdoor activities.
While the second generation of Watch D2 is equipped with advanced blood pressure measurement technology with high accuracy, integrated electrocardiogram monitoring and overall health index management. In addition, the design of the watch is improved with a sharp AMOLED screen, intuitive interface and the ability to connect to the Huawei Health application.
Following Huawei is Apple in second place with 22.5 million units shipped (down 12.8% year-on-year). Third place belongs to Xiaomi with 20.5 million units shipped, up 26.5%.
The report also showed that China was the leading market for wearables with shipments of 45.76 million units (up 20.1%).
The global smartwatch market shipped 110 million units (down 3.8% year-on-year) and in the Chinese market it shipped 32.86 million units (up 23.3%).
The global smart bracelet market shipped 26.82 million units, up 12.7% year-on-year, while China shipped 12.91 million units, up 12.6%.
