(GLO)- On the occasion of the Vietnamese Family Day June 28 and the achievement of celebrating the 75th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation, on the afternoon of June 26, the Women's Union of Ia Pa district (Gia Lai province) organized a series of activities such as: Painting contest with the theme "Mother and daughter"; launching the painting contest "Colors of peace" organized by the Provincial Union; praising excellent grassroots Union Chairmen and exemplary member families in 2023.
Participating in the painting contest with the theme “Mother and Daughter” were 19 women’s union families including mothers and daughters aged 8-10 years old in the district. Within 30 minutes, using different color materials such as wax, paint, watercolor… The works expressed the love and sharing of family members, expressed the thoughts and wishes of children for their family in the future, realized the current family life of children and sent messages to families. Many beautiful paintings, elaborate investment and impressive presentation brought many meanings about the love between mother and daughter.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 13 consolation prizes and 1 first prize to the family of Ms. Rmah H'Doi and baby Rmah H'Loi (Ia Mron commune).
The “Colors of Peace” painting contest launched by the Provincial Association has 4 themes: Orange painting - repelling violence; speaking up to prevent domestic violence; leaving no one behind; social security. From June 28, in the preliminary round at the district level, each commune will organize and select at least 2 best works to participate, completed before August 20, 2023. After that, the District Women's Union will organize the selection of 3 best works to participate in the provincial competition. It is expected that the provincial competition will be summarized and awarded on the occasion of activities to celebrate Vietnam Law Day.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the District People's Committee awarded 5 excellent grassroots Association Chairmen and commended 19 exemplary women's association member families in 2023.
