Kon Tum Provincial Journalists Association continues to affirm its role in gathering and uniting members

(CLO) On January 14, the Kon Tum Provincial Journalists Association held the 15th Executive Committee Meeting (expanded) for the 6th term, 2020-2025, to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy key tasks in 2025; organize meetings and present Tet gifts from the Provincial Party Committee to representatives of provincial journalists and press residing in the province.

At the Conference, the Provincial Journalists Association approved the summary report of work in 2024 and the work program for 2025. Over the past year, the Association continued to affirm its role in gathering and uniting members, innovating professional activities and organizing emulation movements, achieving many outstanding results.

Specifically, the Association reviewed 28 award-winning works at the 12th Kon Tum Provincial Press Awards; sent 11 works to participate in the 18th National Press Awards; and had 5 award-winning works at the 1st Central Highlands Press Awards. The Association organized two professional training courses with the participation of more than 100 members, along with many creative field trips. In addition, social charity activities were promoted, in coordination with Agribank Kon Tum Branch to give Tet gifts and build houses for poor households in Tu Mo Rong and Kon Plong districts.

At the Conference, delegates discussed and approved the 2025 work program. The focus next year will be on organizing the 7th Provincial Journalists Association Congress, term 2025-2030; launching emulation movements and implementing activities towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025). At the same time, the Association is actively preparing for the At Ty Spring Press Festival 2025 with the theme "Journalism with digital transformation".

Also at the conference, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Journalists Association sent New Year greetings and presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee to the delegates, recognizing the positive contributions of the press to the local socio-economic development.
