According to WindowsLatest , rumors suggest that Windows 12 appears to be a leap forward from current generations as it is said to focus on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and even support a dedicated Copilot button as Microsoft recently mentioned.
This year's big Windows update is Windows 11 24H2 instead of Windows 12?
The problem is that Windows 12 may never come out, at least not until 2024. The latest information indicates that, according to Microsoft's proposed schedule, the update corresponding to the expected Windows 12 launch date is officially called Windows 11 2024 Update, or Windows 11 24H2.
This is further confirmed in the reference document about the name of this update released by HP on the occasion of the recent launch of the Spectre product line. In the collected document, it can be seen that Windows 11 will have a major update to be compatible with Wi-Fi 7 and Copilot 2.0. According to HP, the full potential of Wi-Fi 7 will be unlocked if there is a combination of Windows 11 2024 with an Intel Core or Core Ultra CPU and a router compatible with Wi-Fi 7. Of these, Windows 11 2024 is also known as Windows 24H2.
While this is all speculation, especially since it comes from a PC manufacturing partner rather than Microsoft, it can’t be considered an official announcement. For the most accurate answer, users will have to continue waiting until the end of the year to see if there will be a major generational leap like what happened between Windows 11 and Windows 10.
