Türkiye's Anadolu news agency reported that Houthi forces launched a supersonic ballistic missile targeting Nevatim air base in the Negev region of southern Israel on November 22.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the weapon used was a Palestine 2 supersonic missile, which hit its target. "Our operations will not stop until the aggression stops, the blockade of Gaza is lifted and the attacks on Lebanon end," Saree said.

This is the second time this month that the Houthis have claimed to have attacked Nevatim Air Base. The first time was on November 8. On November 17, the Houthis attacked a key target in the Israeli port of Eilat.

Israel has not commented on the statement by its forces in Yemen.

In a show of solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis have attacked ships and targets linked to Israel and its allies with missiles and drones.

The US-led Western coalition has carried out several airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen in response to their attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The Houthis have since declared that all US and British ships are military targets.

The most recent incident took place on November 19, when the Houthis launched missiles at a cargo ship in the Red Sea. The international coalition said the Panama-flagged cargo ship was hit by two missiles.

According to AFP, the ship named Anadolu S, owned by a Turkish company, was moving off the coast of Yemen. The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the attack a day later and said it was taking measures to prevent similar actions.
