(Dan Tri) - The Secretary of Hanoi requested relevant agencies to immediately resolve the issue of 118 households with 375 people living in a "shared, uncared for" situation between Ba Vi district and Son Tay town.
On December 5, Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai met with voters of Ba Vi district.
At the meeting with voters, Mr. Pham Tien Vinh, Head of Xuan Hoa village (Van Hoa commune) said that this village has 118 households with more than 370 people who are in a state of "sharing a gong with no one paying attention" between Ba Vi district and Son Tay town.
According to Mr. Vinh, previously these 118 households were under the administrative boundaries of Ba Vi district. Since 2017, the authorities have re-divided the administrative boundaries, and this area has been assigned to Son Tay town.
"However, Son Tay town has not taken any action to accept people, land or invest in infrastructure in the area where 118 households live," said Mr. Vinh.

Mr. Vinh also said that for more than 7 years, the area where 118 households live has not received any benefits for new rural construction. People have to contribute money to repair village roads and alleys.
The wish of these 118 households is to return to the administrative boundaries of Ba Vi district as before, because all personal documents and health insurance still belong to Ba Vi district, according to Head of Xuan Hoa village.
"If we return to Son Tay town, in addition to taking administrative boundaries, the government must also take people and invest in infrastructure and policies for the people," Mr. Vinh commented.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Ha Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, requested relevant agencies to quickly intervene to resolve it in a reasonable and equitable manner for the people.
Concluding the conference, the Hanoi Secretary affirmed that he would seriously and fully absorb the voters' reflections and recommendations.
Ms. Hoai said that for any content within the city's authority, with the responsibility of being both Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, Ms. Hoai will direct and request relevant agencies to resolve. If any content is under the authority of the Central Government, the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation will synthesize the report and recommend the competent authority to resolve.

Regarding the issue of not yet demarcating the boundaries for 118 households that voters have reported, Ms. Hoai said that 118 households have existed for many years without knowing where their administrative boundaries are. The city leaders have commented.
"Through today's voter contact, relevant agencies and units of the city must take more active action and thoroughly handle the issue to resolve it for voters," Ms. Hoai requested.
The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant departments to immediately coordinate with Ba Vi district to handle the matter thoroughly, with a specific deadline.
"Now we will not solve this problem in a roundabout way. No matter how difficult or complicated it is, we must solve it so that households can live and produce with peace of mind," Ms. Hoai stated.
