The Provincial Literature and Arts Association organizes Vietnam Poetry Day and the 2025 Lantern Festival Poetry Night

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Ms. Dang Thi Phuong - President of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association said that Vietnamese poets from generation to generation have accompanied the nation on every journey, they are always aware of the rights and responsibilities of artists towards the nation and have maintained a passion for creativity. The Party and the State always support and promote advanced cultural and literary values imbued with national identity, especially poetry, and consider it the spiritual foundation of society.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a flower basket to congratulate the festival.

The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day, the 2025 Nguyen Tieu Poetry Night takes place in the context of the country and Tay Ninh province having many positive changes, with valuable achievements. Activities to celebrate the Poetry Day with many rich and diverse forms are organized from the district and town levels (where there are literary and artistic organizations) to the provincial level; hopefully, it will meet the enjoyment needs of tourists inside and outside the province and contribute to enriching the cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the Party and celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025 in Tay Ninh.

With the theme “Tay Ninh wings the future”, the programs contribute to honoring the value of poetry in particular and literature and art in general; praising the achievements of the country and Tay Ninh province; contributing to inspiring life and creativity along with the great aspirations of the Vietnamese people in general and our province in particular to the whole society, contributing to inspiring people to enter a new era of the country.

Ms. Dang Thi Phuong emphasized that the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day, the 2025 Lunar New Year Poetry Night is a festival to honor poets and poetic works; a spiritual bridge for writers, artists, poets, and poetry lovers to get closer together; to encourage and motivate professional and amateur poets to actively compose, nurture their poetic souls, contribute to building their homeland and country, making life more and more beautiful and spreading the beauty of poetry into all aspects of social life.

The program was filled with exciting activities such as drumming to open the festival, performances, poetry recitation, music from poems, songs celebrating the Party and Spring, folk arts; awarding prizes for the provincial poetry contest; displaying poems of the Literature Association, branches of districts, towns and cities.

In addition, there is also “Poetry Space” introducing many poems by famous poets such as Nguyen Binh, Huy Can, Xuan Dieu, Nguyen Dinh Thi, To Huu and works that won high prizes in poetry competitions.
