Chairman of Hanoi Farmers' Association Pham Hai Hoa visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Phung Dang Thanh in Son Dong commune, Son Tay town.

The delegation visited the household of Mr. Phung Dang Thanh, in Son Dong commune, Son Tay town. Mr. Thanh's family currently has nearly 8,000m2 of ornamental plants. Due to the impact of storm No. 3, nearly 2,000m2 of greenhouses were damaged, and camellias, apricots, etc. were broken and fell.

Similarly, Storm No. 3 caused damage to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoi's family in Dan Phuong commune, Dan Phuong district, nearly 24,000 square meters of grapes, peaches, cucumbers, vegetables and 7,000 square meters of greenhouses. The total initial estimated damage was over 1 billion VND.

Chairman of Hanoi Farmers' Association Pham Hai Hoa shared and encouraged farmer households to try their best to overcome the consequences and restore production after the storm.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Associations at all levels of Son Tay town and Dan Phuong district focus on reviewing, grasping and reporting on the flooding situation; the damage caused by storms to the lives and production and business activities of farmers' association members in the area to propose to the Party Committee and authorities to take timely support measures and overcome the damage.

Synthesize and evaluate farmers who borrowed capital from the Farmers Support Fund that suffered heavy damage due to storms, establish legal documents to consider handling risky debts for borrowers according to regulations.

Along with that, promptly visit and encourage farmers who have suffered losses to overcome difficulties and continue production. Organize solidarity and mutual support activities among farmers; measures to stabilize life and restore and develop agricultural production for farmers.

Actively coordinate with functional units to closely monitor the situation of the local area according to the assignment; focus on protecting key targets, key areas, vulnerable areas, places at risk of insecurity for people; propagate, mobilize, guide, and help people to take shelter safely; coordinate the evacuation of people from deep flooded areas to live and produce agriculture along river banks such as the Red River, Tich River, Bui River, etc.
