Science and technology activities in Ninh Binh province with many bright spots

NDO - On the afternoon of December 27, the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh province held a conference to review activities in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.

In 2024, science and technology activities in Ninh Binh province had many positive changes, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

The Department has accepted 22 topics and projects that will end in 2024; of which, 2 topics were rated excellent by the Acceptance Advisory Council and 20 topics and projects met requirements.

The implementation and management of provincial-level science and technology tasks are carried out in the right direction, focusing on the following areas: agriculture, new rural construction, industry, social sciences and humanities, basic and high-tech research, and gene pool conservation and development programs.

During the year, many scientific and technical advances were transferred, with the direct beneficiaries being the people. Thereby, many contributions were made to the socio-economic development of the locality; strengthening the relationship between research and development agencies, transferring technical advances in the area, especially creating links between scientists and enterprises in production.

In particular, the work of inspection, examination, management of standards, measurement, and quality of goods and products has been focused on, contributing to the development of production, market stability, and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and people. Intellectual property activities and technical innovation initiatives have changed the awareness of many business organizations and individuals about creating, managing, and protecting intellectual property, promoting the development of product brands, and enhancing competitiveness...

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh province, said that in 2025, science and technology topics and projects will focus on prioritizing the application of achievements in digital transformation, biotechnology, high technology, new materials technology; encourage investment to support businesses in researching technological innovation, applying technical advances, applying quality management systems according to international standards and building brands, creating prestige for businesses, contributing to improving product quality, production efficiency, and gradually integrating into the international economy.

To achieve that goal, in the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh province will continue to strictly implement the provisions of the law on fundamental, comprehensive and synchronous innovation of the organization, management mechanism, and scientific and technological operation mechanism; focus on performing well the tasks of science and technology; create favorable conditions for enterprises to access and apply the results of scientific research, modern advanced technology to serve production and business; maximize the opportunities of the 4.0 industrial revolution for effective and sustainable development.
