Warm heart, cool head
* In the role of a movement leader, what would you like to be a student leader to be? - Hoang Da: Of course, you must have leadership ability, strategic vision, decisiveness and courage in making decisions. In addition, you must know how to motivate, inspire passion and encourage creativity in each individual. Because it requires the companionship and sharing of everyone, not just the leader alone. Not to mention, the leader must constantly encourage, help and lead teammates to overcome barriers. Another important thing is to know how to create an open environment so that every individual feels respected and maximizes their abilities. - Gia Diem: A cool head and a warm heart have always been the guiding principles throughout my journey of learning how to be a leader. Everything new starts from learning, experiencing and interacting. I always tell myself that I need to learn to become a good leader, learn to listen to sympathize and understand my students. Each leader will have his own path, but I believe that if you have been trusted and placed in that role, you can always do your best in your own unique way if you have enough will. * We are talking about the era of national growth, how do you position yourself in that transformation? - Hoang Da: The desire to grow, the desire to contribute and dedicate to the development of the country is what I always remind myself. Studying and growing up in Ho Chi Minh City, I clearly realize that it cannot stop at studying, but this city always needs people with good expertise, creativity, innovation and the ability to integrate internationally . Every action, no matter how small, every step in the journey contributes to the overall development of the city and the country. For me, the success of Ho Chi Minh City and the country, in addition to the achievements of each individual, is also the ability to connect, the strength of solidarity and creativity of the collective. - Gia Diem: For students, I think the most important task is still to study well in addition to improving yourself through movement activities. Personally, I am a citizen of Bac Ninh City, so I am aware that in addition to studying, I also have to equip myself to always be kind in everything I do. When I become a good citizen, I contribute to the development of society.Vo Nguyen Hoang Da - Photo: CT
Go further with experiences
* If I need to look back on the journey to the "double" of January Star Award and Central 5 Good Students, what would it be? - Gia Diem: I am proud of my own efforts and the trust and love that everyone has for me. This "double of the highest roof, the highest ceiling" does not stop at a title or result at the present time but is a stepping stone for me to spread the values of the title, the movement brings to the journey further. - Hoang Da: It is truly an extremely meaningful, challenging and not easy journey that started many years ago. I have constantly strived and promoted my ability as a student leader, a pioneer in the volunteer movement and social activities . I find it interesting that my journey has always had the meaningful companionship of students in the school. I have done it, so I have to spread it is what I always think about. I don't want to stop at just achieving personal goals but strive to inspire and motivate others to strive together. To me, that is called success. * How do you think the results you have just achieved will help you in the journey ahead? - Hoang Da: What has been achieved is not only a reward but also a recognition of my continuous efforts throughout my learning and training journey with the specific criteria of the title. This also becomes a motivation to help me know that I need to strive more in the future, and also to better understand the value of balance in life and comprehensive development. It is also a reminder for me to improve myself to become a useful person, contributing to the common development of the community. - Gia Diem: Step by step through each activity and movement, I realize that this journey has given me many "trials". For the first time being given the authority to lead, for the first time being able to realize ideas, apply expertise to activities for students, for the first time being able to discover things that seemed impossible but were possible when having to overcome difficult stages in work. Through each stumble, receiving more advice and observations, I received valuable lessons that if I had not joined the Youth Union - Association, I probably would not have had such attempts.Students of the 2025 Spring Volunteer Campaign support Ho Chi Minh City residents to experience metro line 1 for the first time - Photo: HSV
Student Union Leader: Understand yourself, understand others
* As a leader who grew up with the movement, what do you think students need to integrate better? - Hoang Da: Ho Chi Minh City youth in general, and students in particular, are facing huge opportunities but also many challenges. To be able to integrate strongly and make more positive contributions, each of you needs to have a comprehensive package, not only solid professional knowledge but also essential soft skills. Critical thinking and flexibility in problem solving are indispensable. - Gia Diem: I think each of you will have a direction and destination in your student journey. Growing up from the student movement, I learned to be strong, to stand up and do it again after falling. It is very important that you dare to face challenges, accept your own shortcomings to understand and know where you need to improve. To integrate well, I think you need to learn to understand yourself to dare to think, dare to do and dare to pioneer innovation first. For me, integration comes from each volunteer trip, sharing session and connecting with seniors and friends through beautiful and valuable stories. Being a student of Bac Ninh City is not only about achieving "5 good things" but also the process of striving to become decent citizens who create and build a happy life!
