With proactive and positive promotion, procedural reform, infrastructure synchronization, and improvement of reception quality, the first months of 2025 have seen bustling port activities in Quang Ninh. This year, port activities are determined to set a new record for cargo growth, making an important contribution to the province's growth target.

By the end of 2024, ports in the province welcomed more than 161,000 ships of all kinds, with cargo volume reaching a record high in many years with nearly 150 million tons. Continuing the achieved results, starting 2025 with the goal of continuing to set a new record in cargo volume with a growth rate of over 10%, contributing to the province's growth in the field of marine economy... Right from the beginning of the year, agencies and units in charge of state management of maritime and seaports in Quang Ninh have proactively developed plans based on the viewpoint of continuing to promote and effectively exploit the advantages of existing infrastructure; focusing on promoting and improving competitiveness to attract more sources of goods and large shipping lines to the province.

Seizing new opportunities in the context of strong investment and supply chain shifts taking place globally, Quang Ninh has stepped up investment attraction, prioritizing the development of specialized industrial parks, high-tech industrial parks, ecological industrial parks, industrial parks with complementary and complementary nature; clean industrial parks, green industrial parks, ensuring environmental factors; specialized industrial parks for specific investors... with breakthrough policies. Since then, the demand for international transportation has increased, and seaport activities in the province have continued to show positive signs since the first month of the year.

Since the beginning of 2025, the province's ports, buoys, and anchorage areas have received over 10,000 vehicles of all kinds, with cargo output reaching nearly 15 million tons. In particular, during the Lunar New Year, the ports maintained bustling operations, with dozens of ships entering and leaving to load cargo every day. On the 3rd and 4th of Tet alone, Cai Lan Port welcomed 4 ships carrying nearly 140,000 tons of wood chips, wheat, and corn. Thousands of workers worked tirelessly, affirming their professionalism and speed to ensure smooth loading and unloading of goods, maintaining a stable supply chain, and ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of ship owners.

Notably, at the beginning of the year, a number of new connection activities from port owners, shipping lines, and factories in Quang Ninh's industrial parks were established to provide infrastructure and logistics services for freight transport. In the immediate future, a number of trial voyages will be deployed, bringing Quang Ninh into a number of new international shipping routes. This is an important step, affirming the position of the province's seaport in the region, not only promoting the volume of import and export goods, but also opening up opportunities for strategic cooperation, developing the logistics industry and upgrading seaport infrastructure.
