Hoang Thuy Linh is 'Outstanding Singer of the Year'

Hoang Thuy Linh was awarded "Outstanding Singer of the Year" at the 2023 Arts Artists Awards on the evening of January 13.

The event also honored more than 80 artists in many categories. Outstanding TV Actors went to artists Hoang Hai ( Life is Still Beautiful ), Kieu Anh ( Our Family is Suddenly Happy ). Dinh Y Nhung was Outstanding Movie Actress ( Mom, It's Butterfly ).

Den Vau is a Singer for the Community. He could not be present to receive the award, but sent a thank you video, saying that he would continue his music projects for the benefit of society. Last year, he released the video Cooking rice for you, which raised more than 500 million VND to donate to children in the highlands.

This year, the organizers added the category of Outstanding Live Show, Music and Dance Program, awarded to musician Do Bao with the concert "Alone and Vast" .

The remaining faces are stage artists, cheo, tuong, cai luong, who have won high prizes at festivals.

In his opening speech at the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the program was organized with the desire to honor outstanding artists in the performing arts industry and authors who have made many contributions to the literary career, and at the same time introduce them to the public; at the same time, encourage artists and authors to continue to work enthusiastically in the field of art, continue to contribute works that "live forever with time".

Mr. Tran Huong Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, said that the organizing committee wishes to accompany artists through the award. "I believe that the individuals honored are completely worthy, they are not only artistic talents with high achievements but also always accompany management levels and organizing units to promptly carry out valuable programs, plays, and works of art, meeting the enjoyment needs of the public," said Mr. Duong.

The event is organized annually by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to honor outstanding artists in the performing arts industry during the year. Especially artists and artisans who have contributed to the preservation and promotion of traditional national arts. The voting council includes directors and musicians in the field of culture and arts.

Last year, Tran Thanh, Le Khanh, Lan Huong, Thu Quynh, Ngoc Lan, Tung Duong, and My Tam were honored.
