Miss H'hen Nie hopes that dirty children can have the same luck as her.

- H'hen Niê has just been awarded the "Inspiring Artist of the Year" award by Her World Vietnam magazine and is one of the faces appearing in the "Inspiring Character" award nominated by VietNamNet Newspaper. What do you think about the phrase "inspirational"?

H'hen Nie was very happy and honored to receive this award and the certificates of merit from the Organizing Committee last year. This year, VietNamNet also has an inspirational award, I hope the program will find a truly deserving person who can spread and honor the value of the awards.

- Tell us about the mission and responsibility of inspiring the community for H'hen Nie and how do you maintain your activities and hard work with such meaningful projects?

Since my coronation, I have participated in many social projects of my own and those of non-governmental organizations, or of various levels and departments. I have matured after each trip. Sometimes I am stressed by work, but when I meet people, I feel lighter, happier, more optimistic and I feel luckier than many people.

The activities make me more emotional about people, places I live, environment and more mature, learn a lot. Sometimes, we do not just live for ourselves, but need to sacrifice our ego for the better, for the community and society.

- H'hen Niê often chooses the most remote areas to carry out charity activities. Do you have any special impressions or stories after these trips?

Remote areas are close to me. Of course, life in my village is much better now than before. However, many places are still difficult. Children have an educational environment but the way to school is still far, the equipment is still not good for learning, so it needs to be spread and everyone's cooperation.

I love the children in the border areas, from their eyes to their dirtiness. Every trip like that, I become more quiet in life. Whatever I do, I think, compare the image of my childhood with those children. When I have the luck today, I believe that if the children are supported and educated, they will also change like I had that opportunity.

- In 2023, H'hen Nie participated in many activities such as planting forests, building libraries, donating textbooks, and campaigns to prevent human trafficking. How does H'hen Nie stay positive in the face of the challenges of charity work?

I want to use my small efforts and abilities to spread positive messages. I appreciate the invitations so I am always ready. Obviously, there will be people who judge and say this and that, but I always focus on the path I take, the way I operate is always planned and cared about the most.

I once worked on a project to drill wells in Lai Chau, where boarding school children could only wait for rainwater to use. I was happy to witness the joy of the children and teachers after completing the project. It was a fate that many other units also came to drill but were unsuccessful, but I and the organization were able to drill 2 wells.

- The journey to build a compassionate society is a great goal of many people. Do you think that your personal contribution has changed the way others view the beauty and true value of a beauty queen title?

Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions about beauty. I am interested in projects that bring depth and value, not just appearance.

Acceptance and evaluation require time. A newly crowned beauty queen cannot do many projects, but needs to be aware, change, and mature every day. The Vietnamese have a saying: "Hit the one who runs away, not the one who runs back". A few flaws and mistakes of a newly crowned beauty queen can be overlooked and forgiven because when they realize their mistakes, they will change and become better.

- Do life experiences help H'hen Nie clearly feel the strength that comes from inner values?

When I was first crowned, people talked a lot about my appearance but I didn't pay attention. Of course, I thought about it to change, not because the comments hurt me.

To improve myself, I need different perspectives from everyone. I accept and change what is good, interesting, and positive. If I make a mistake, I have to correct it. If I fall, I have to stand up because I am living as a beauty queen. I am not trying to maintain the image of a beauty queen, but I am cherishing this title.

- In addition to being active in social activities, last year H'hen Nie continued to be an ambassador for many programs and events and also a judge. How do you see your influence on the community and young people?

Many of my fans are women. The stories I have told or done may inspire them more. Young people will like what is trendy, I am not a girl of trends but more of a nature, I like action more. My journey through different times will suit different audiences and people. I think that I just need to do my role and ability well.

- This year, H'hen Niê is the host at Top Chef Vietnam. Can H'hen Niê share more about the role and development direction of this position?

The jobs related to my ability can be done very quickly and very well, but the jobs that I have not tried yet are a bit stressful and pressured. However, life must have challenges and daily changes to be interesting.

Being the host of Top Chef Vietnam 2023 is an experience that I really enjoy. On the first day of filming, everyone heard H'hen Nie's voice was a bit strange because sometimes it was Southern, sometimes Northern. However, the crew thought that this was H'hen Nie's voice color and respected that.

"H'hen Nie learns Vietnamese language and culture through interacting with people. When interacting with people from a region, she will have the vocabulary of that region. That is the color of H'hen Nie and there is no need to change." Hearing my seniors say that, I am very happy, as if I have been given more energy. This is true to the saying: "No matter who you are, what ethnicity you come from, we are all brothers and sisters of the same family."

Host is a difficult field, requiring memorization of many words that I have difficulty learning by heart. Therefore, in the future, I will consider a suitable program, follow closely to be able to perform well.

- So, will you continue to pursue acting or will you... leave it open?

Although the movie “578: Madman’s Bullet” was not really successful or left an impression, I really enjoyed the filming time, especially the scene of being beaten up in the container. Those beatings were very real, showing me the truth in the story.

I appear in the film not just for the name but to do my best for the job. I hope in the future there will be other opportunities, playing many different genres and roles.

I have many invitations to participate in film projects but I cannot arrange them because I am participating in another program. I will definitely continue to learn and practice to receive more opportunities in the future.

- H'hen Niê is a host and actress who recently danced and sang at the Vietnamese version of "Beautiful Sister Who Makes the Waves". Are you too greedy?

I used to wonder why I was invited to participate in the Vietnamese version of Chi Dep Dap Gio Rot Songs because I had never tried singing or dancing. I had not watched the original version and only skimmed through short videos, so I initially refused. In terms of ability, I think singing can be gradually learned with tutoring, but dancing is impossible.

However, the crew advised me to try and experience. After a long time of thinking, I went to practice singing, dancing, and liberating my body. The teachers must have thought H'hen Nie was the most difficult student because I learned very slowly, and was as confident on the catwalk as I was shy in Chi dep dao gio rot song.

However, the biggest thing I learned from the program is the word “passion”, similar to acting - something I really like. After the performance with my sisters, I was very happy even though I didn’t do well. I think that energy will help me try harder every day.

- Many "beautiful ladies" cried when participating in this program because of the difficulties and pressure. What about H'hen Nie, what memorable experiences did she have?

My spirit is similar to that of the “beautiful sisters” who, if they had not participated in the program, would not have been able to overcome the previous problems. I would not have opened my heart and felt more deeply about each stage and level of women with each other.

I feel like I should love women and myself more. When I love myself, I see life as wonderful. When watching the show, the audience will see their idols from a very real, everyday perspective.

- H'hen Niê always shows a genuine image, spreading positive energy on social networks. So has H'hen Niê ever encountered problems in life?

Everyone has their own problems. When I became a beauty queen, a brother told me that wherever I appeared, I had to be energetic and radiant. I always kept this in mind so the audience would not see H'hen Nie crying or feeling pressured. However, H'hen Nie is also human. It is true that I am positive but I still face many things in life. Miss is just a title, H'hen Nie's sadness and tears are similar to everyone else's.

I had a long period of instability but now I have resolved it myself. When I joined "The Beautiful Sister Who Makes the Waves", I opened up more. Maybe, I will not be as carefree as before, but it is time to settle down and have more depth.

- How does H'hen Nie always stay fresh and hide any "instabilities" if any?

At events, I try to always show positive energy. Even before applying make-up, H'hen Nie had to wipe away tears to appear gorgeous, but when participating in social activities, it was the opposite. Even though I was stressed in Ho Chi Minh City, when I went to places for social activities like Lai Chau, for example, I suddenly had no worries. At that time, I only thought about meeting the children, going to the forests, the real life there or the eyes of people, everything made me feel refreshed, forgetting all my worries.

Everyone's energy control is different. Young people who like entertainment will go to places of entertainment to heal, a few return to nature, me too. When I return to nature, I feel familiar.

- How is H'hen Nie's love life now?

At the moment, I don't want to talk much about my personal love life. If I have the chance to get married, that's a blessing, otherwise I'm still happy to be a single girl. Regardless, I still find life wonderful, and appreciate everything.

- Does your family urge H'hen Nie to get married?

My family doesn't urge me to get married, but my relatives and neighbors do. When I participated in Chi Dep Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves , they commented on social media saying, "Get married, why are you still competing at this age?" I'm with my niece and I call her mother and child, so people sometimes mistakenly think that H'hen Nie already has a husband and children.

Participating in the show “Beautiful Sisters Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves”, I heard stories from the sisters such as broken hearts or having similar problems to mine. I curiously asked them about family, love, and deeply felt the sacred value of being a mother. When talking about motherhood, their eyes sparkled, so I understood that this was wonderful.

- H'hen Niê is always busy, so how does she balance life and work?

I often meet many people so sometimes I am afraid that someone will be sad when I don't remember their face. I have to move, interact, meet, learn new knowledge every day, so every night I always prepare carefully to be able to complete tomorrow's work. Besides work, I also balance my diet to stay healthy.

I think the most important factor is to appreciate the work you are doing. Before becoming a beauty queen, I did many different jobs such as housekeeping, distributing flyers, etc. Appreciating every job helps me realize that I have to do it well, have a clear plan, both in terms of time and health.

The spirit of working with all passion is also the energy I want to share with Vietnamese youth. I hope you always give your all because that will create different opportunities.
