Supporting Vietnamese startups to overcome weaknesses and go global

An international initiative to support Vietnamese startups from idea to success was launched on the afternoon of November 11, with the hope of bringing Vietnamese startups to the world.

The program organized by Viet Unicorn aims to advise, support and develop young Vietnamese talents in the field of startups. Thereby contributing to helping young startups gradually realize their dream of becoming global entrepreneurs, while minimizing risks and failures when starting a business.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Dang - founder of Viet Unicorn - said that this organization was born with the mission of helping Vietnamese entrepreneurs overcome things such as lack of vision and understanding of global business, lack of long-term orientation, too high individualistic tendencies, and failure to integrate with international laws and business practices.

“We are committed to providing not only high-quality international training programs but also creating connections to resources and investment opportunities.

From there, we hope to support the development of breakthrough startups, contributing to the sustainable development of the community and raising Vietnam's position in the global startup community, creating many quality startups," said Ms. Dang.

According to Ms. Dang, the more unicorn startups are created, the more social problems will be solved creatively and sustainably.

Mr. Kris Nguyen - co-founder of Viet Unicorn - emphasized: "We believe that Viet Unicorn will become a solid launching pad to help young Vietnamese people access new opportunities and expand their global mindset. Thereby contributing to the development of the Vietnamese startup community in the world".

With the aspiration to build a generation of Vietnamese startup leaders, Viet Unicorn hopes to bring Vietnam into the top 20 on the world's startup unicorn map by 2045. With the goal of nurturing and developing startups from the creative potential and capacity of Vietnamese youth, the program includes four main activities: Startup leadership training, Startup support, Global trade, and International communication.

Accepting applications from November 20

In the first season, Viet Unicorn officially accepts applications to participate in the program from November 20, 2024 to March 20, 2025.

This is considered an opportunity for young people who aspire to start a business and lead their business to success, or young entrepreneurs who already have a start-up and want to develop sustainably, or potential leaders who want to develop their self-leadership and business leadership skills.
