This time, 2 citizens registered to reflect and petition to the Provincial Party Secretary, including: Ms. Nguyen Thi Lap, in Quarter 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri town, petitioned about land; Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, representing 24 households in Nam Son village, Trung Giang commune, Gio Linh district, petitioned about compensation and support for households affected by the project on Developing tourism infrastructure to support comprehensive growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion, phase 2 - Quang Tri province sub-project, category of Community beach in Trung Giang commune, Gio Linh district.
After review, the above two cases do not fall under the category of receiving citizens by the Provincial Party Secretary according to Regulation No. 11-QDi/TW of the Politburo and Regulation No. 33-QDi/TU of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee. These recommendations are also being directed by the Provincial People's Committee to be inspected, verified and resolved within the time limit.
However, to ensure citizens' rights, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung requested departments and branches to report in detail the content of the cases and the handling process.
In addition, it is recommended that the authorities enhance their responsibility and review the process of handling specific petitions, with many petitions sent to competent authorities, including the following cases: Nguyen Thi Hanh, in Vinh Tien hamlet, Ho Xa town, Vinh Linh district; Ho Thi Thu Lan, in Khe Sanh town, Huong Hoa district; Nguyen Thi Lap, in Quarter 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri town.
In particular, pay attention to reviewing and handling petitions related to resolving policies for meritorious people in outstanding cases with petitions for resolution.
The Provincial Party Secretary said that currently, many citizens' petitions have not been completely resolved, including cases where the rights prescribed by law have not been properly exercised.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Department of Justice direct the Lawyers Association and the Provincial Legal Aid Center to support people in exercising their rights to petition, complain and denounce in accordance with the law, contributing to ensuring citizens' rights.
