To participate in the program, the scholarship fund requires students to prove their financial capacity, transfer money to the accounts of the subjects to get a statement. The National Economics University affirms that it has no connection or association with the programs or organizations as mentioned above.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law also said that it had recorded a number of cases where students received calls or text messages from strange phone numbers, impersonating the school's identity to threaten, request personal information or commit fraud. According to a representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, these subjects may cite reasons related to academic affairs, tuition fees, student discipline... to cause confusion and the ultimate goal is to defraud. Fraudsters impersonate police, prosecutors, call or text to inform students that they are involved in cases such as money laundering, drugs, fraud; request confidentiality, not to share with anyone; force them to provide personal information, bank accounts or transfer money to "prove financial status"...

Experts affirm that financial education plays an important role in implementing the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, especially for students. This is the future generation of the country, a young generation with solid financial knowledge will contribute positively to the overall economic development.

Mr. Pham Luu Hung, Chief Economist and Head of Training and Development Department of SSI Securities, said that investment education for young people is one of the top priorities for market development. Financial education is no longer an elective subject, personal finance has become a necessary life skill in today's era.

At the Banking Academy, Ms. Do Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Banking Business Department - Banking Faculty, said that the Academy always identifies financial education for students as a necessary task. This is one of the three most important tasks of comprehensive financial education. The Academy has implemented many solutions to educate students financially, such as the Citizenship Week at the beginning of the school year with the content of raising personal financial awareness for new students.

During the teaching process, the Academy focuses on providing financial education content to create a basic theoretical framework for students, so that after graduation, each student will become a financial expert and help spread knowledge to the community and society.

Ms. Do Thi Thu Ha assessed that Gen Z is very intelligent, quick-witted, and will become consumers in the future. Therefore, the Academy promotes the application of technology in payment and in all financial and accounting work of the Academy, such as integrating student cards with bank cards so that students can use modern payment methods without having to queue to pay tuition fees like before; using many modern methods such as bank transfers, e-wallets or other methods...

“Through these activities, recently, students' awareness of personal finance as well as the risks of students in particular and consumers in general in using cards has improved a lot, thereby proving the effectiveness of financial education programs in schools,” said Ms. Ha.

Experts believe that not only the Banking Academy but all universities should comprehensively popularize financial education. This will be a practical work to help each student master financial knowledge and skills so that they can move towards financial independence in a smart way in the future.
