On December 16, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 7950/BDGĐT-GDĐH to Hanoi University of Business and Technology regarding the correction of the two English language degrees at this school.
The content of the document affirms that the situation of illegal training for 2 English language degrees (reported by Thanh Nien Newspaper) at Hanoi University of Business and Technology, first of all, the responsibility belongs to the school principal.
Hanoi University of Business and Technology organized illegal enrollment and training for 2 degrees in English language, illegally profiting billions of dong.
Official dispatch 7950 stated that, in the past time, the working group of the Ministry of Education and Training has verified information on enrollment and training for people with a university degree in English related to Hanoi University of Business and Technology. The Ministry of Education and Training has also reviewed the content of the inspection conclusion (No. 2201 dated June 28) of Hanoi University of Business and Technology on training for a second degree in English for classes VB2.12, VB2.13, VB22.01.
Based on the working results of the working group and the inspection conclusion of Hanoi University of Business and Technology itself, the Ministry of Education and Training has the following opinion: the responsibility related to training for the second degree in English language in classes VB2.12, VB2.13 (A, B), VB22.01 of Hanoi University of Business and Technology is primarily the responsibility of the Principal of Hanoi University of Business and Technology.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests Hanoi University of Business and Technology to urgently carry out the following tasks:
Develop and promptly implement a plan to ensure the legitimate rights of learners in accordance with regulations. The school's implementation results will be reported to the Ministry of Education and Training before December 28.
Send the school's legal representative to attend the meeting with the Ministry of Education and Training to review and make a record of administrative violations against violations in the recruitment and training of the second degree in English language for classes VB2.12, VB2.13 (A, B), VB22.01 on the morning of December 26 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Training.
As Thanh Nien Newspaper reported, Hanoi University of Business and Technology illegally opened a series of second degree classes in English language. When the incident broke out, the school blamed a few individuals.
During the enrollment and training process for these second degree classes, there were many documents signed by responsible individuals, assigned by the school to be responsible for the school's training activities (such as the vice principal in charge of training, deputy heads of training departments, etc.), with the school's red seal. However, Hanoi University of Business and Technology denied this, saying that these individuals did not represent the school.
Although students have paid billions of dong, Hanoi University of Business and Technology said that if students want their tuition money back, they should contact the individuals involved and the school is not responsible.
