According to sources, the Galaxy Flip FE will be equipped with Samsung's exclusive Exynos 2500 processor chip after the company confirmed that it had resolved the problem in the Exynos 2500 chip production process. Although this chip will not be included in the Galaxy S25 generation in time, some Samsung smartphones next year will be equipped with this new processor chip when they are ready to enter the mass production stage.
Now, a new report from Korean site The Elec suggests that the Galaxy Flip FE will be one of the smartphones equipped with the Exynos 2500 chip. While many other brands are abandoning clamshell foldable smartphones, Samsung has chosen a different direction by focusing on developing a low-cost version, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7.
Attractive price for Galaxy Flip FE
The new Galaxy Flip FE is said to be 10% thinner than the Galaxy Z Flip6, but it will have a smaller screen than the Galaxy Z Flip7. More importantly, the smartphone is expected to start at $799. If this information is confirmed, it will be a record low price for the Korean company's foldable smartphone line.
However, Samsung seems to be cautious with this model. According to The Elec , the Korean company has asked suppliers to produce only 900,000 units of the Galaxy Flip FE. Compared to the production forecast of 3 million units for the Galaxy Z Flip7 and 2 million units for the Galaxy Z Fold7, Samsung's cautious strategy can be seen as a test for the foldable smartphone market.
