HCMC People's Council holds special meeting to decide on personnel issues

TPO - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le said that at this session, in addition to discussing and approving policies to contribute to speeding up the implementation of key and urgent projects, the City People's Council will also discuss and decide on personnel of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

On the morning of May 19, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held the 15th session (special session) of the 10th term, 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le said that the city is implementing and organizing the implementation of many important tasks in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th City Party Congress.

In addition, focus on implementing resolutions of the City People's Council to concretize Resolution No. 98 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for city development to effectively promote potentials, advantages, and strategic positions for the city to develop rapidly and sustainably.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, at this session, the HCMC People's Council will discuss and pass resolutions on two groups of contents, including:

Review the report on the Project to adjust the general planning of Ho Chi Minh City to 2040, with a vision to 2060, in order to be consistent with the development orientation of the entire Ho Chi Minh City region, aiming to develop the city into an international trade center of the region and the country, meeting new requirements in the city's socio-economic development strategy, creating conditions for synchronous implementation of solutions to solve current urban development problems.

Along with that are the resolutions that play an important role in the economic - social - defense and security development of the city. Ms. Le emphasized that these are the contents that contribute to speeding up the implementation of key and urgent projects of the city.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council also informed that at this session, the City People's Council will discuss and decide on personnel of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee according to the requirements and regulations of the law.
