On January 30, the People's Council of Quang Xuong district held the 16th session (special session) of the 21st term, 2021-2026 term, with the content of passing a resolution on the land use plan in the area in 2024.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Comrade Nguyen Thi Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Xuong district affirmed that the Land Use Plan of Quang Xuong district for the period of 2021-2030 was approved by the People's Council of the district in July 2021 at the 2nd Session, and was adjusted in June 2023 at the 11th Session. On the basis of the approved Land Use Plan, the District People's Committee annually submits the land use plan to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. This is an annual and important task and is the basis for implementing land acquisition projects, infrastructure investment, and creating land to attract investors.

The district's land use plan for 2024 aims to fully and comprehensively assess the current land use status in the district, as a basis for district planning and annual land use planning. Determine the land area that needs to change land use purposes in 2024 to implement the transfer, lease of land use rights, and capital contribution in the form of land use rights. At the same time, synthesize land use needs, balance and determine land use indicators for sectors and fields and allocate them to each commune and town administrative unit. The district's land use plan for 2024 has been appraised by the Provincial People's Committee's Appraisal Council and has Notice No. 40 dated January 24, 2024 requesting the District People's Committee to submit it to the District People's Council for approval. This is an important basis for the district to effectively implement the land use plan for 2024.

Based on the review and discussion of the report and submission of the District People's Committee to the meeting, the District People's Council approved the 2024 land use plan. The District People's Committee directed relevant departments and offices to promptly complete the 2024 Land Use Plan dossier and report to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment according to Notice No. 40 of the Provincial Land Use Plan Appraisal Council.
After the Provincial People's Committee approved the Land Use Plan for 2024, the District People's Committee directed relevant agencies, units, and People's Committees of communes and towns to promptly implement the Land Use Plan for 2024; pay attention to and resolutely direct the construction and investment of industrial clusters and industrial parks in the district.
