The Resolution of the People's Council of Hau Giang province on approving the construction zoning plan of Song Hau 2 Industrial Park and Dong Phu 2 Industrial Park has come into effect.

According to the resolution of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, the construction planning project of Song Hau 2 Industrial Park belongs to Mai Dam town and Phu Huu commune, Chau Thanh district. The northeast borders Hau river, Song Hau 2 Thermal Power Plant and National Highway 91B (South of Hau river); the southeast borders Nga Bat canal, provincial road 925; the northwest borders Phu Huu A concentrated industrial cluster (phase 3) and Cai Dau river; the southwest borders agricultural land.
Song Hau 2 Industrial Park has an area of 380 hectares, expected to create jobs for about 20,000 workers. This is a multi-industry industrial park, focusing on developing industrial products with competitive advantages, saving resources; at the same time promoting modern technology industry, supporting industry, high added value, having a market for products, causing little environmental pollution. Song Hau 2 Industrial Park with a modern technical infrastructure system, protecting the environment, creating a premise for sustainable development and flexibly meeting the diverse needs of land use scale of domestic and foreign investors.

Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, said that the construction planning project of Dong Phu 2 Industrial Park in Dong Phu commune (Chau Thanh district) is bordered by Cai Cui Be River and Dong Phu Industrial Park to the north, District Road 37 to the south, Cai Dau River to the east, and the new urban area and resettlement area of Dong Phu Industrial Park to the west.
"Dong Phu 2 Industrial Park is a favorable premise for implementing development programs and investment projects, meeting new development needs, creating momentum to promote urbanization and economic growth. Dong Phu 2 Industrial Park follows the ecological industrial park model, planning for processing, mechanical, electronic, renewable energy, supporting industries and prioritizing projects using high technology, new technology, clean technology, energy-saving technology, at the same time transferring technology, training local human resources...", Mr. Huyen added.

Plans for the future
Hau Giang province currently has 2 industrial parks with an area of about 492 hectares and a project occupancy rate of over 93.32%. Accordingly, Song Hau Industrial Park - Phase 1 (Chau Thanh District) is about 291 hectares, with a 100% occupancy rate. Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park - Phase 1 (Chau Thanh A District) is about 201 hectares, with an 86% occupancy rate. Up to now, Song Hau Industrial Park and Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park have attracted 75 enterprises to implement 77 projects; of which 54 projects are in operation and 23 projects are under construction.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that by 2030, the province will establish 7 new industrial parks with an area of 1,741 hectares, bringing the total area of industrial parks by 2030 to 2,233 hectares in Chau Thanh, Chau Thanh A, and Phung Hiep districts, in accordance with the allocation target of industrial park land area of Hau Giang province according to Decision No. 326/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and has been updated in the draft planning of Hau Giang province. Dong Phu 2 Industrial Park and Song Hau 2 Industrial Park have been approved by the Prime Minister to be added to the planning of industrial park development in Hau Giang province in Official Dispatch No. 329/TTg-CN dated April 28, 2023. It is expected that by May 2024, the province will hand over the land to investors to implement infrastructure construction projects in these 2 industrial parks.
Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park is located next to National Highway 1, convenient for transportation.
According to Mr. Thanh, the province is preparing a detailed planning project for the construction of Dong Phu Industrial Park (Chau Thanh District) with an area of 120 hectares. For Tan Hoa Industrial Park (Chau Thanh A District), the competent authority has organized a bidding to select a planning consultancy unit and will approve the planning immediately after the Hau Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030 is approved by the Prime Minister. Currently, many large corporations and enterprises (Sao Mai Group, Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation, Shinec Joint Stock Company, SPG - Hiep Phuoc - 620IDIC - VietNaminest Joint Venture, TNG Holdings Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company, Phu Thai Holdings Group Joint Stock Company, Stavian Real Estate Joint Stock Company...) with full financial capacity and experience are interested in registering to be investors in the infrastructure of industrial parks in Hau Giang. Therefore, the project implementation and investment attraction in the coming time will be favorable, speeding up the filling of new industrial parks, contributing to the socio-economic development of Hau Giang province.
