On the London floor, at 4:30 a.m. on February 8, 2025, Robusta coffee prices had a sharp decrease compared to yesterday, a decrease of 72 - 90 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery price for March 2025 was 5,561 USD/ton (down 72 USD/ton), the delivery price for May 2025 was 5,564 USD/ton (down 82 USD/ton), the delivery price for July 2025 was 5,517 USD/ton (down 84 USD/ton) and September 2025 was 5,445 USD/ton (down 90 USD/ton).

At the end of the trading session, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor decreased after 11 consecutive sessions of price increase, the decrease was from 0.40 - 2.10 cents/lb, ranging from 376.70 - 396.70 cents/lb. Specifically, the delivery period in May 2025 was 396.70 cents/lb (down 0.40 cents/lb), the delivery period in July 2025 was 386.80 cents/lb (down 1.95 cents/lb) and the delivery period in September 2025 was 376.70 cents/lb (down 2.10 cents/lb). In particular, the delivery period in March 2025 increased by 404.35 cents/lb (up 0.40 cents/lb).

On the contrary, at the end of the trading session, the price of Brazilian Arabica coffee continued to increase, recorded as follows: The delivery period for March 2025 was 505.25 USD/ton (up 7.65 USD/ton), the period for May 2025 was 500.00 USD/ton (up 8.35 USD/ton), the period for July 2025 was 487.15 USD/ton (this period decreased by 2.60 USD/ton) and the delivery period for September 2025 was 469.50 USD/ton (up 6.20 USD/ton).
Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day) Vietnam time. Arabica coffee traded on the ICE Futures US (New York exchange) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day) Vietnam time. For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day) Vietnam time.

Domestic coffee prices remain almost flat.
According to information from Giacaphe.com, at 4:30 a.m. today, February 8, 2025, domestic coffee prices have increased again compared to yesterday, at an average of 130,500 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg.
The highest coffee purchase price in the key regions of the Central Highlands was recorded at 130,500 VND/kg, the same as yesterday's price. Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is 130,500 VND/kg (up 100 VND/kg), coffee price in Lam Dong is 129,500 VND/kg (up 0 VND/kg), coffee price in Gia Lai is 130,500 VND/kg (up 100 VND/kg) and coffee price in Dak Nong today is 130,500 VND/kg (up 0 VND/kg). Thus, the 3 provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Dak Nong have the same purchase price of 130,500 VND/kg.
The domestic coffee prices that Giacaphe.com lists every day are calculated based on the prices of two world coffee exchanges combined with continuous surveys from businesses and purchasing agents in key coffee growing areas across the country.

Global coffee prices continue to hit record highs amid increasingly tight supplies, especially in the two leading producing countries, Brazil and Vietnam. According to MXV, the Brazilian Real has appreciated in the last trading session, while the US dollar is trending down below 108 points. This volatility has contributed to pushing coffee prices to new highs.
Concerns about supply in Brazil and Vietnam are growing as Brazil exports record amounts of coffee early in the season, leaving limited availability. Shortages are not limited to Brazil but also to Colombia, the world’s third-largest coffee producer, where both domestic and export prices remain at historic highs.
In addition, Central American countries and many other high-quality coffee producing countries also reported sharp declines in inventories, adding further pressure to global coffee prices.
As coffee prices rise, fundamentals become less important and many speculators are increasing their activity. They are attracted by this strong price increase, especially after what happened to the cocoa market. Arabica coffee prices have increased continuously for 11 trading sessions, reflecting strong interest from investors.
With the current fluctuations, the coffee market is more vibrant than ever. The shortage of supply is expected to continue to affect prices in the coming time and investors need to closely monitor market developments to make the right decisions.
