It seemed like Bayern Munich had an easy chance to win against Bremen to continue competing for the top spot in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen. However, coach Thomas Tuchel's team played below their best and let the visitors win narrowly with a score of 1-0.
Bremen had just 35% possession, eight shots (three on target) and an expected goals of just 0.5. However, the visitors' luck made the difference.
In the 25th minute, Bremen scored against Bayern Munich, but VAR technology denied the goal when it determined that a player from the away team had committed a foul earlier.

After a goalless first half, Bremen got what they needed after an incredible effort from Mitchell Weiser in the 59th minute. The 29-year-old defender dribbled from the sidelines before finishing powerfully past veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to secure victory for his side.
The team has risen from 14th to 12th place and is temporarily 9 points clear of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is still 7 points behind Bayer Leverkusen but has played 1 match less.

After the loss to Bremen, coach Thomas Tuchel was extremely disappointed with his players' performance. He could not explain why the whole team performed so well in training but could not compete so well.
"We didn't play well enough today. During the first 70 minutes, it didn't look like we were playing for victory. We conceded goals, lost the ball too much, gave the opponent many counter-attacking opportunities and were too sloppy in the contested situations. A completely deserved defeat because just playing well in the last 20 minutes is not enough," said the disappointed German strategist.
