Attractive Kon Tum Province Open Paragliding Tournament

Athletes compete in two categories: precision landing and XC paragliding. In particular, the XC Paragliding competition has been upgraded to an international tournament. Athletes participating in this event will be awarded cumulative points to be able to participate in other international tournaments.

A performance at the Opening Ceremony.

This is the third time the Paragliding Competition has been held, as part of the series of events of Kon Tum Province Culture - Tourism Week 2024 and to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed at High Point 995 - Chu Tan Kra in the heroic battle in 1968.

Comrade Duong Quang Phuc delivered the opening speech of the Paragliding Competition.

Chairman of Sa Thay District People's Committee Duong Quang Phuc said that organizing the Paragliding Competition will help Sa Thay become a national paragliding destination in the future because of its suitable geographical location. On the other hand, the location of the Competition is adjacent to the Chu Tan Kra Historical Site, which increases the significance and value of this sport. This is also an opportunity for the locality to introduce and promote beautiful images of nature, culture and people to tourists inside and outside the province. From there, it will contribute to attracting investors, building Sa Thay into a safe and attractive destination, creating a lever for developing eco-tourism, exploring nature, culture and history.

After the Opening Ceremony, visitors from inside and outside the province enjoyed the Para Moto performance (motorized parachute, flag-raising, smoke-releasing). Then, the athletes began the first competitions of the Tournament.
