In the Plan, Hai Phong Customs Department has proposed solutions to carry out 5 basic implementation activities: Information activities; business support; consulting businesses and stakeholders; law enforcement supervision; Customs - Business cooperation.
Regarding business support, Hai Phong Customs Department promotes contents such as: Supporting businesses to fully and promptly grasp legal regulations, customs procedures, and newly issued import-export taxes; answering questions and recommendations of businesses arising when carrying out customs procedures...
Notably, regarding the content of Customs - Business Cooperation, Hai Phong Customs Department determined to promote cooperation with businesses and related parties to implement 3 key contents including:
Firstly, the state management of customs is modernized, meeting the requirements of digital transformation, building digital customs and smart customs.
Second, improve the ability to identify certain types of goods.
Third, legal regulations and customs procedures for on-site import and export goods; procedures for tax exemption, reduction and refund for import and export goods...
Hai Phong Customs Department is one of the units with the largest import-export turnover in the industry, with millions of import-export declarations from tens of thousands of businesses each year.
In January 2024, the entire Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 14,159 enterprises, with 214,914 declarations, total import-export turnover reached 10.4 billion USD, of which, export reached 5.21 billion USD, import reached 5.19 billion USD.
In addition, the unit supervised 101 ships, including 46 incoming ships and 55 outgoing ships; carried out immigration procedures for 10 incoming flights with 1,031 incoming passengers and 5 outgoing flights with 785 outgoing passengers via Cat Bi International Airport.
Previously, in 2023, the entire Department carried out procedures for more than 2.2 million import-export declarations (an increase of 3.68% over the same period in 2022) of more than 29,000 enterprises; supervised more than 9,000 vehicles and more than 180,000 crew members entering and exiting through Hai Phong port; more than 700 aircraft entering and exiting with over 120,000 passengers entering and exiting through Cat Bi international airport.
