In addition to the national highway system and the Eastern Truong Son road with a length of nearly 422km and nearly 100km of expressway that has been and is being implemented with the central budget, Quang Ngai province has also promoted investment in the provincial road system, upgrading routes to create a continuous traffic network with a length of more than 434km.

It is noted that most provincial roads have been hardened, most of them paved with asphalt concrete. Many routes have been upgraded and expanded with a cross-section of 9m. For example, provincial road 623B has been fully invested with a length of more than 20km connecting Quang Ngai city with the western districts, opening a new door to promote socio-economic development.

At the same time, maintenance and repair work is also focused on so the quality of infrastructure always meets the needs of goods circulation and people's travel. Many roads are repaired, expanded and asphalted regularly to create a smooth road surface.

Although the current basic infrastructure meets development needs well, Quang Ngai province leaders believe that it still does not meet the requirements of socio-economic development, both in the short and long term.

Therefore, the province will continue to allocate resources to invest in more transport infrastructure projects that shape the economic backbone. In addition to budget resources, Quang Ngai prioritizes investment and mobilization of non-budgetary resources. Promote the mobilization and effective use of investment resources to develop the infrastructure system.

According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, one of the key tasks and breakthroughs of Quang Ngai province is to invest in developing synchronous and modern infrastructure in both economic and social aspects, creating momentum for development. In particular, priority is given to key transport projects.
